CREAM CHEESE - CHOCOLATE - CHIP TUBE CAKE | |
1 c. butter (sweet) 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs 2 1/4 c. unsifted flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips Cream butter and cream cheese in large bowl with mixer. Beat in sugar, gradually until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir flour with baking powder and salt and add to butter mixture with vanilla and chocolate chip pieces. Mixture will be thick. Bake in greased tube pan in preheated 300 degree oven for 1 hour. Cool cake in pan for 10 minutes (no longer). Turn out on rack and cool completely. |
