APPLE CRISP 
6 to 8 large cooking apples
1/3 c. butter, melted
cinnamon

Peel and slice the apples directly into pie plate.

Topping:

1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 egg

Sift together dry ingredients. Add egg. Blend until crumbly as you would for pie crust. Cover the apples with this topping.

Pour 1/3 cup melted butter over all and sprinkle generously with cinnamon. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
