SHRIMP BATTER 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. ice water
1 tbsp. oil

Beat egg well. Add sugar and salt. Add oil. Gradually beat in flour. Beat until smooth. Dip shrimp into batter to coat well. Drop shrimp in hot oil. Brown on both sides. DO NOT overcook!!!

Makes enough for approximately 2 pounds shrimp.
