EASY PEPPERED STEAK 
1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut into 1/2" strips
Flour
Salt & pepper to taste
1/4 c. shortening
1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, mashed
1 sm. onion, chopped
Garlic powder to taste
Pinch of sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 green peppers, cut in strips
1 1/2 c. cooked rice

Cook steak strips with mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Brown in shortening in skillet. Add tomatoes, onion, garlic powder, sugar and 1 3/4 cups water. Simmer, covered, until steak is tender. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and green peppers. Simmer for 10 minutes longer. Serve over rice.
