STRAWBERRY-SPINACH SALAD
SALAD:

1 lb. fresh spinach, washed, drained and torn into bite size pieces
1 tbsp. fresh dill, chopped or 1 tsp. dried dill weed
1 tsp. toasted sesame seeds
1 pt. fresh strawberries, washed and hulled

DRESSING:

1/2 c. salad oil (not olive oil)
1/4 c. red wine vinegar
1/4 c. (scant) sugar
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. dry mustard

Place spinach in large bowl, preferably glass. Sprinkle with dill and sesame seeds. If strawberries are very large, cut in half. Add to bowl.

To make dressing, combine all dressing ingredients in a small bowl or jar with cover, stirring or shaking to blend. Makes about 3/4 cup dressing. Pour dressing over contents of bowl and toss gently. Serves 4 to 6.
