OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES 
1 3/4 c. oatmeal, uncooked
1 1/3 c. flour
2/3 c. raisins
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 lg. egg
1/3 c. milk

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Mix oats, flour, raisins, walnuts, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Stir in oatmeal mixture alternately with milk until blended. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of dough 1 inch apart on cookie sheets. Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to racks to cool. Yields 26 cookies.
