1 bunch red leaf lettuce
3-4 slices bacon, diced
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. cider vinegar
1 egg, beaten

Fry diced bacon until crisp. Save 1/4 cup of the drippings. Add sugar and vinegar to drippings. Bring to boil. Add beaten egg slowly, stirring as you add. Cook until thickened. Set aside to cool while tearing up lettuce. Pour over lettuce and toss until coated.
