FRENCH DIP SANDWICHES
YUMM, this is the best recipe ever. DO NOT ADD onions to this, as then you'll have pot roast.

Slow Cooker French Dips:

1 beef roast (chuck roast is great)
1/2 cup soy sauce (too salty if you add more)
1 tbsp. garlic powder
6 peppercorns (or 1 tsp. pepper)
1 tsp. each of thyme, rosemary and basil
2 beef bouillon cubes

Place thawed roast in slow cooker, mix together the rest of ingredients and pour over roast. Add water to almost cover roast. THAT IS IT! Place on low at least 8+ hours.

At the end of the day, shred beef, place on buttered rolls and dip in the sauce that is in the Crock-Pot!

Delicious!

Would love to try this... but the amount of sodium between 1/2 cup of soy sauce and the 2 cubes of beef bouillon seem like too much to make this have a taste other than pure salt.

Would love to have a specified size chuck roast. I have a very small 1 lb. chuck roast which is too small for most recipes. Assuming this is for a large roast because 1/2 c. soy, 1 T. garlic powder & 2 bouillon cubes would be WAY to much for a small roast. I'd love to quarter the recipe but no idea what size you were starting with!
