1 lg. box vanilla wafers
1 stick butter
2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 qts. plus 1 sm. box frozen strawberries
1 lg. Cool Whip

Crush vanilla wafers. Sprinkle 1/2 in bottom of large baking dish. Beat sugar, butter and eggs together. Drop by spoonful onto crumbs and spread. Spread strawberries over this mixture. Spread Cool Whip over strawberries. Sprinkle rest of crumbs over all. Decorate with fresh whole berries. Refrigerate several hours. This may be made up day before.
