PAN FRIED ANYTHING | |
Onions Garlic Green and (or) red peppers Mushrooms A piece of beef, liver, fish, chicken, tofu or other vegetable such as eggplant, summer squash, zucchini or eggs Prepare beef, liver, fish, chicken, tofu, or vegetable. These can either be cut into strips or portion sized squares or rounds. Beef could be tenderized by marinating or using meat tenderizer. Chicken is best boneless. Vegetables can be sliced about 3/4 inch thick or into strips. (Eggplant skin can be tough, you can make cuts along the length of the eggplant about 1 inch apart before slicing if you want.) Eggs don't really need preparation unless you want to scramble them, then break into a bowl and add water or milk and beat up a little. I fry the onions, garlic, peppers and mushrooms in a little oil, then steam until soft. Then I add whatever else is going into the frying pan and cook that until it is done the way everyone likes it. Jack and I love liver. Sharon loves steak, also eggs scrambled (she adds some unusual herbs and spices only one of which is cumin - I can't give her secret away because it isn't mine, plus she changes these periodically, making it difficult for me to keep up with it - she's always been this way, but I can tell you it is worth it to have her make your breakfast of this.) Serve hot with potatoes or rice and a salad, or toast if this is for breakfast. This is a general all purpose meal that never seems to fail and can always be counted on to be quick and easy. |
