POTATO BISCUITS 
6 med. potatoes
2 c. flour
1/4 lb. Crisco
1/4 lb. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. salt

Cook potatoes and mash. Cut shortening into flour. Rub potatoes into flour between palm of hand. Add egg and salt. Knead gently on floured board. Roll out 1/2 inch thick and cut into small biscuits. Put in greased cookie sheet and gently make criss-cross on them with a fork. Brush each with beaten egg yolk. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes or until brown.
