Have been looking for this recipe aka Neiman Marcus pot roast.

This is an excellent meal! A friend made it for me, and I was amazed; I can't remember ever having a pot roast meal this good, tasty, and tender. Try it; you'll love it!

I'd forgotten just how delicious this roast is, and agree that it easily surpasses many of the roasts served in restaurants. Were it not for the amount of sodium involved, it would be on our monthly rotation list for sure. But this review is based on taste and ease of preparation alone--so five stars HANDS DOWN! In essence, it tastes as if someone discovered the PERFECT blend of your basic seasonings and implemented them here, resulting in a savory, tender beef roast and gravy that simply can't be beat. If you are averse to using Ranch mix or Italian dressing mix, or combining any of these mixes for fear they will produce some funky flavor, fear NOT--these three little packets work together to perform some crazy magic that is truly out of this world. This is a fabulous recipe to serve to guests since it is very simple to prepare and basically foolproof, and, well...I've probably gushed over the delectable flavor enough already. Lol They will never guess that your "secret" is those three little packets! I recommend using a chuck roast and serving it with homemade mashed potatoes to use every drop of that yummy gravy. :-)

Be SURE and NOT use the "zesty" Italian. This is the gravy mix I submitted & always use in my Crockpot London Broil. Rave reviews - except when they accidentally bought the zest. Ruins the flavor.
