OUZO CAKE 
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 (15-18 1/2 oz.) lemon cake mix
1 (3 3/4 oz.) instant lemon pudding mix
4 eggs
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup cooking oil
1/4 cup ouzo

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. Sprinkle the walnuts evenly over the bottom of the pan.

Combine the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water, oil and ouzo. Beat for 3 minutes. Pour the batter over the nuts in the tube pan.

Bake for 1 hour. Place on a rack to cool for 30 minutes. Invert into a serving plate. Prick with a skewer or a fork and pour on the honey syrup. Let stand at least 1/2 hour before serving.

HONEY SYRUP:

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 (2 inch) cinnamon stick
2 whole cloves
1 cup honey
2 tbsp. ouzo

Combine the sugar, water, cinnamon, and cloves. Bring mixture to boiling and reduce heat. Cook 25 minutes. Stir in honey and strain. Stir in ouzo.
