BAKED BEANS 
1 lb. marrow beans
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. table mustard
3 tbsp. catsup
1/4 tsp. paprika
1 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. maple syrup
1/2 minced onion
1/4 lb. bacon

Cover beans with water and bring to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon baking soda and boil 1 minute. Drain well and rinse with hot water. Cover with hot water and add other ingredients. Partially cook the bacon before adding to the beans. Use only 2 tablespoons of the fat. Simmer until 3/4 done. Put in 325 degree oven to finish about 2 hours.
