BLUE-BERRY TOPPING 
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
Few drops red food coloring, if desired
1 pt. (2 c.) fresh strawberries, sliced
1/2 c. fresh blueberries

In medium saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch; stir in water and food coloring. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens slightly, about 5 minutes. Stir in strawberries and blueberries. Cool. Serve over dessert or as ice cream topping. 2 cups.
