JAM CAKE 
Cake:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. buttermilk
2 c. flour
1 c. blackberry jam
3 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
9 oz. mince meat

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and mix well and add jam. Add soda to buttermilk and then to mixture. Add flour and mince meat.

Bake in a tube pan at 325 until done. May bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan or in three 8-inch pans.

Frosting:

2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 stick butter
1/4 c. pet milk
1 box powdered sugar

Melt sugar and butter in an iron skillet and then stir in pet milk slowly. Put powdered sugar in a bowl. Pour caramel mixture in and mix well. Add extra pet milk until it will spread.
