2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. butter
2 c. pecans

Combine ingredients in pan and cook to soft ball stage on low heat. Remove from heat and cool 5 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon baking soda and beat until thick. Drop by teaspoonful onto wax paper.
