CANDIED PECANS 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
2 c. pecan halves

Place butter in a 1-quart microwave-safe casserole dish. Microwave at high power for 30 to 45 seconds or until melted. Stir in sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Microwave at high power for 1 to 2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Stir in nuts until well-coated. Microwave at high power for 4 to 5 minutes. Use pot holders to remove as casserole dish will be very hot. Spread nuts on waxed paper to cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
