1/2 lb. butter (no butter)
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. pecans (chopped)

Put ingredients together in electric frying pan on high and stir constantly (burns easily) until light brown. Pour on ungreased cookie sheet while hot and spread quickly. Cool and break into pieces.
