JEAN'S TACO CHIP DIP 
This is always a crowd pleaser! Everyone asks for the recipe.

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 (8 oz.) container dairy sour cream
1 env. dry French onion soup mix (Lipton)
1 lb. ground beef
1 env. taco seasoning mix
1/4 cup water

TOPPINGS:

shredded cheddar cheese
chopped tomatoes
chopped green peppers
chopped green onions
chopped black olives

Mix cream cheese, dairy sour cream and dry soup well. Spread on large platter, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until ready to serve. Best if done the day before.

Brown ground meat, drain, and add taco seasoning mix and 1/4 cup water. Stir well, cool, and refrigerate until ready to serve.

When ready to serve, top cream cheese mixture with meat. Then layer remaining ingredients starting with cheese, then tomatoes, green peppers, green onions, and finally black olives.

Serve with plain taco chips. Scoop or spread "dip" onto taco chips.
