MRS. BUTTERWORTH'S FOOTBALL
CRUNCH
 
4 cups assorted bite-sized cereal squares
1 cup peanuts
1/2 cup Mrs. Butterworth's syrup
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to slow (250°F).

In a large, shallow roasting pan, combine cereal and peanuts.

In a 2-quart saucepan, combine syrup, butter, sugar and cinnamon. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat. Without stirring, boil 2 minutes. Pour over cereal mixture; toss to coat well.

Bake at 250°F for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Turn out onto waxed paper lined tray. Break apart cereal as it cools. Store in tightly covered container.

Makes 5 cups.
