PORK CHOP CASSEROLE | |
1 bag (20 oz.) frozen green beans 4 c. potatoes (peeled & sliced) 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of celery soup 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 6 pork chops, brown 2 tbsp. cooking oil 1 sm. can French-fried onions Thaw beans and set aside. Cook potatoes in boiling salt water for about 5 minutes and set aside. Spread the thawed beans in bottom of a greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Combine soups, salt and pepper, and spread 1/2 of mixture over the beans. Arrange the cooked potatoes over this and top with rest of soup mixture. Brown the pork chops on both sides in the 2 tablespoons cooking oil, then arrange on top of potatoes. Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper. Cover pan with foil and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Take pan from oven, remove foil and sprinkle onions on. Return the pan uncovered to oven for another 5 minutes. |
