PINEAPPLE BARS 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or substitute
4 lg. eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 (#2) can crushed pineapple (2 1/2 c.)
1 c. chopped nuts

Melt butter, mix with sugar. Add eggs, well beaten to sugar and butter mixture. Sift flour, salt and soda into mixture, stir well. Add pineapple and nuts, mix well and pour into a well oiled and floured pan, about 10 x 14 inches. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. When cool, cut in bars and roll in powdered sugar.
