MEXICAN MACARONI | |
1 lb. bulk sausage 1 c. diced onions 1 c. diced green peppers 2 c. canned tomatoes 1 3/4 c. buttermilk 2 c. uncooked macaroni 1 tbsp. sugar - salt (optional) 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. cumin Brown sausage in large skillet. Drain grease from sausage. Add diced vegetables and salt. Stir in tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, sugar and macaroni. Pour buttermilk over all. Do not stir but make a few dashes with knife, but do not stir the buttermilk. Simmer 25 minutes. |
