OLD FASHIONED DILL PICKLES 
Put dill in bottom of jars. Wash and pck whole cucumbers in jars.

Solution:

8 c. water
3/4 c. pickling salt
2 c. vinegar (5 % or 7 %)
1/4 c. alum

Bring solution to a boil in pan. Let cool and pour over cucumbers. Heat jar caps in boiling water and seal jars. Ready in 8 weeks.
