CABBAGE AND BEEF CASSEROLE 
1 sm. head cabbage
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 c. uncooked rice (instant)
1 can condensed tomato soup
1 can water

Chop cabbage and place in greased baking dish. Brown meat and onion. Stir in rice. Pour over cabbage. Mix soup and water. Pour over entire casserole. Add more water if needed. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

If you drain ground beef after cooking you reduce fat count.

You can also steam cabbage before putting into casserole and cut 1/2 hour off cooking time.

Serves 6. 164 calories per serving.

Terrific recipe. I decided to steam the cabbage before and then cut the bake time in half. I used fire roasted canned tomatoes and 1 can of tomato soup, no extra water...did not drain fat, but ground beef was lean.
