1 pkg. dry yeast (1 tbsp.) 1 1/2 c. warm water 1 tbsp. malted milk powder (optional) 1 tbsp. honey 1 tsp. salt 4 to 4 1/2 c. unsifted flour Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in malted milk powder, honey and salt. Add flour gradually until dough forms a ball. Turn onto floured board and knead lightly. Divide into 12 pieces and shape into a long thin rope, 10 to 12 inches long. Brush tops with butter, sprinkle with desired topping (Parmesan cheese, sesame, poppy seeds or seasoned salt). Rise 15 to 30 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. |
