STEAK SANDWICH SAUCE 
3 med. onions
Butter
Sandwich steaks
1 c. water
1 can tomato sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire
1 tbsp. oregano
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
Pepper

Cook onions in butter until lightly browned. Remove from pan. Brown the steak sandwich meat, adding butter or oil if necessary. Remove meat from pan. Add one cup water to the pan and make a brown broth. To this, add tomato sauce, Worcestershire, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat for five minutes. Add meat and onions and continue cooking until sauce is thick, about one-half hour.

What a great recipe! Its so simple, and the ingredients are so basic that I didn't have to do any extra grocery shopping. I added green and red bell peppers to my version, and served it on french bread. It came out tangy and juicy... Tons of flavor without tons of labor. I love it!
