EASY CHOCOLATE TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box chocolate fudge cake mix (I use Duncan Hines) 1 egg 1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup milk chocolate chips 1/2 cup pecan pieces caramel ice-cream topping (Smucker's) Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt stick of butter in large bowl in microwave (about 20 to 30 seconds). Add cake mix and egg to melted butter. Mix well with spoon and pat down into a 13x9-inch greased cake pan. Make sure to spread up on sides and corners (spreads better if you use your hands with some butter on them). Using the same bowl beat sweetened condensed milk, egg, and vanilla on low speed until well blended (about 1 minute). Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Pour over cake batter. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. Take out of oven and insert about 6 to 8 holes with something rounded (chopstick or end of butter knife). Drizzle some caramel topping in and around each hole. Place back in oven for another 10 to 15 minutes. Cake is done when toothpick comes out clean on the edge of the cake. Let cool for at least an hour. Enjoy!! Submitted by: Tina |
