GERMAN CHOCOLATE TURTLE CAKE 
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1 German chocolate cake mix
2 c. pecans
1 1/4 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. butter
2 c. chocolate chips

Melt caramels with 1/2 cup evaporated milk and set aside. Beat cake mix with 3/4 cup evaporated milk and 3/4 cup butter. Bake 1/2 of cake in 9 x 13 greased pan at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Spread caramel mix on top of baked cake. Add 1 cup pecans and 1 cup chocolate chips. Cover with remaining cake mix then top again with 1 cup pecans and 1 cup chocolate chips. Bake for another 30-45 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
