MAMA'S CORNBREAD DRESSING 
6 c. crumbled cornbread
5 c. crumbled biscuits
3/4 stick butter, melted
1 c. chopped onion
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. chopped celery
6-8 c. broth (chicken or turkey)
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sage
2 tsp. poultry seasoning

Mix all ingredients. Bake in pans for one hour or until brown and done - when inserted straw comes out clean. Serves 25 people.

I followed this recipe this year in anticipation of it being delicious. I'm sorry to report that this dressing had no flavor, and it was gummy. I'll never use eggs again, and it needs some zip added. Next time I'll add some Better Than Bouillon. Biscuits add no flavor, either. Use Pepperidge Farm seasoned stuffing instead, and if you don't have rich broth from a turkey or chicken, definitely make your own.
