PEPPER STEAK | |
1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut in thin strips 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper 1/4 c. cooking oil or shortening 1 lg. can tomatoes 1 3/4 c. water 1/2 c. diced onion 1 sm. clove garlic, minced 2 beef bouillon cubes 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 lg. green peppers, cut in strips 1/4 c. flour Cut steaks into small strips and brown in oil, add salt and pepper and onions. Add all other ingredients except flour. Cook until peppers are tender (about 1 1/2 hours). Dilute flour with a little water and add after peppers are done to thicken. Pour over rice or noodles. Good dish to double if your family is large so you get second night out of it. We prefer rice. |
