MOMMA AND EBBIE'S RUM BALLS | |
My momma and I used to make Rum Balls for every Christmas, since I was a little girl. Now that my dear momma has passed, I would like to submit this recipe in her honor. 1/2 cup Rum 1/4 cup light corn syrup 2 1/2 cups fine vanilla wafer crumbs 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup pecans or walnuts, finely chopped 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Suggested Coatings: cocoa powder powdered sugar chopped or ground nuts In bowl, combine rum, corn syrup and remaining ingredients; blend well. Shape in small balls. Roll in desired coating. Cover and store in cool, dark place. Makes about 4 dozen. Submitted by: Selma S Schulman & Elizabeth S Wiebelt |
