APPLE MACAROON DESSERT 
4 c. peeled, sliced apples
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. pecans or walnuts
1/2 c. coconut
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread apples in 9" pie pan, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture. Top with pecans and coconut. Cream butter until fluffy, add sugar and egg; beat. Add flour and vanilla; mix well. Spread over apple mixture. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Serve with ice cream. Freezes well.
