ITALIAN NOODLE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground turkey 3/4 c. chopped green pepper 3/4 c. chopped onion 2 c. tomato sauce (1 lg. can) 3/4 tsp. each garlic salt, oregano, fennel seed, and onion slat 1/4 tsp. pepper 4 oz. wide noodles, measure dry, then cook 4 oz. grated Mozzarella cheese 4 tsp. Parmesan cheese 1 can mushrooms Brown turkey; drain. Add green peppers, onion, tomato sauce and seasonings. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Cook noodles and drain. Put half the noodles in a 9 x 9 pan, sprayed with Pam. Cover with half the meat sauce and half the Mozzarella cheese. Next put on the remaining noodles, meat sauce and Mozzarella cheese. Add the mushrooms and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Let set 10-15 minutes before serving. |
