CHOCOLATE CRACKLE COOKIES 
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/3 c. salad oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. walnuts
About 1/2 c. powdered sugar (to roll cookies in)

Melt chocolate; combine with sugar and oil. Add eggs, one at a time; beat well. Add vanilla; combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to chocolate mixture. Stir in nuts. Chill dough. Drop teaspoonful of dough in powdered sugar. Roll to coat. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Makes 4 dozen.

Preheat oven to what?? Someone forgot to say what temperature to bake these at. I checked on a few other recipes of same like and kind, they say 375°F for 8-10 minutes.

I have had this same recipe for years, and the oven temperature is 350°F, and you bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes. My recipe was in a magazine years ago, and it was near an ad for C & H Sugar. :)

The year was 1977... I have the same recipe and have used it all these years. I have two restaurants asking for the recipe, but I just make them for the two restaurants. Only at Christmas.
