CORNED BEEF AND VEGETABLES 
4 lbs. point cut corned beef brisket
2 cloves garlic
1 bay leaf
1 med. onion
6-8 pieces allspice
4 potatoes
1 sm. head cabbage
1 pkg. carrots

Soak corned beef in cold water about 1/2 hour. Drain. Put beef in large pot with water to cover. Add garlic, bay leaf, onion and allspice. Simmer about 3 hours.

Remove beef from pot and set aside. Save cooking water and use it to cook vegetables until tender. Warm beef, fat side up, at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
