FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 can fruit cocktail

Mix and spread in a greased square pan. Cover with

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Dot with butter

Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour or until tested for doneness. Serve hot or cold with whipped topping.
