GOONEY BIRD PIE 
1 c. flour
1 stick butter
1 c. nuts

Mix well and pat into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch buttered pan or baking dish. Bake 15 or 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool completely before adding filling.

FIRST LAYER:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 of 13 1/2 oz. pkg. Cool Whip
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat with mixer until thickened. Pour over crust and spread lightly.

SECOND LAYER:

3 c. cold milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sm. pkg. instant pudding (1 vanilla, 1 chocolate or 1 vanilla, 1 butterscotch)

Beat with mixer until thick. Pour over cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining Cool Whip. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings if desired.
