STUFFED BEEF LOG 
2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked
1 egg, beaten
1/8 tsp. pepper

Combine ingredients; mix well. Shape into a 16x10 inch rectangle on foil or waxed paper.

FILLING:

1/2 lb. mild bulk sausage
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 c. bread crumbs
1 med. potato, peeled and grated
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine ingredients, spread evenly over beef mixture. Roll jelly roll fashion, beginning at short side, lifting paper or foil to help roll. Place seam side down on a shallow baking dish. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Makes 10-12 servings.
