CHILI POWDER BAKED PORK CHOPS 
6-8 center cut pork chops
chili powder
salt and pepper, to taste

Wash the pork chops then salt and pepper both sides. Layer them in an oblong Pyrex or bakeware dish that has been sprayed with Pam. Sprinkle the top side of the pork chops with chili powder. Cover securely with foil and bake 1 hour in 350°F. oven.

These are delicious. Serve them with rice and green beans. This was my Moms and grandmother's way of cooking pork chops. I have always cooked them this way.

Absolutely wonderful and so very easy! Tender and flavorful. Cooked 35 minutes at 350°F for 1-inch thick loin chops with some cooking sherry added to the chops before sealing the aluminum foil. Used Ancho chili powder which we think has more flavor than normal chili powder. We also use coarse Kosher salt which adds another flavor dimension as well.

This simple recipe turned out wonderful. I put a little twist to it and marinaded the chops in pineapple juice worcestershire sauce, and unprocessed honey over night, then followed the recipe as is. A little dry which isnt bad with a hot, tangy, sweet sauce but the tenderness makes up for it. Very tender!

I'll take a baked potato with butter and sour cream any day over rice or maybe potato salad or coleslaw (depends on the time of year). Another favorite side is baked beans.

Absolutely delicious! My boneless pork chops were about 3/4 inch thick. I did 350°F for 35 minutes, could have probably done them for 30 minutes. I would go with another commenter who said 35 minutes for an inch of thickness and work way up or down from there. Also depends on the accuracy of your oven. Oh, I added about 1/3 cup of my favorite, good beer to the bottom of the pan. So juicy and great flavor. I will definitely be doing this one again! My sides are roasted red potatoes w/sour cream and steamed broccoli.

Tried this for the first time tonight. I usually grill my pork chops but this was amazing! Instead of chilli powder, I used my homemade cajun seasoning with garlic mashed potatoes and creamy spinach. Came out great! Will recommend!

OH MY GOD. I used to think cooking chicken was the easiest possible thing on earth, as I ABHOR cooking/handling meat. There are a lot of things I CAN make that are delicious, meat isn't typically one of them. I'm starting to find pork recipes all over that turn out amazing EVERY TIME and this is one of them. I was cooking pork chops for my dinner tomorrow and taste tested this recipe and it was AMAZING. So amazing, I went beyond the taste test and ate the whole darn chop. I couldn't stop myself. It was JUICY, TENDER, SAVORY. GIVE ME MORE.

This is what I did: I knocked that cooking time on my three little skinny chops down to 35 min at the recommended temp. I hate using my oven in Vegas if I don't have to, so I threw them on some foil on the pan in my toaster oven and covered it up. I did the chili powder, but I also added a TEENY little kiss of ground clove, a good kick of all spice and some coarse kosher salt for the heck of it.

I seared those puppies in a cast iron for a minute on each side and popped them in the tin foil on said pan for the toaster oven. I put in enough tin foil to blanket those baby chops.

Finally, I sat there and starred at what I was fearing would be dry chops, so I dumped a couple of dollops of a Greek vinaigrette dressing and squirted a couple of lines of both dijon and spicy brown mustard, mixed it up sloppily right on the foil, flipped the chops in the juice, tucked those puppies up with foil and stuck them in the toaster oven.

Again. GLORIOUS. I will do this again and again and again!

I have been making these weekly. I love how simple and delicious it is! Just pop it in the oven and go about your business until dinner. No fussy ingredients :) I switch out the type of oleo I use depending on what I have, and I have often sprinkled with some frozen chopped onions. I usually fix with lima beans, corn, a sliced tomato and biscuits. Family favorite- thanks!

Very tasty! I usually coat the pork chops with oven fry but it is labor-intensive. I didn't have the oven fry mix so opted for this recipe. I substituted a barbecue rub and added sea salt. Mmmmm! I baked at 350°F for 45 minutes, and the foil wrapping kept the chops moist.

Heavenly!!! Was looking for an easy recipe to stay out of the kitchen on hot days & this one is perfect. I began with two chops, bone in, and had plenty of juice & chops were not dry. Very tasty. This will be my "go-to" recipe from now on.
