SOUR MILK BISCUITS 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 stick butter
1 c. sour milk

Stir together dry ingredients in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Cut butter into flour mixture with a fork until flour has consistency of cornmeal. Stir milk into flour until completely combined.

Lightly grease a 10 inch pie plate or pan with shortening. Drop dough by spoonfuls into the pie plate to make 10 biscuits. If desired, grease fingers with butter and pat down until all biscuits are even. Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven about 12 minutes or until golden brown.
