Nice recipe! Makes great onion rings, too. We had a nice "fair" fare dinner with them.

I have regained my "super mom" status with this. Thank you. I've never made anything deep fried before but it was a snap. Heated the oil to 350°F in a small/tall sauce pan and cooked one hot dog at a time using a fork to drop them in and tongs to take them out. I inserted the craft stick after frying. I made dumpling type things with the extra batter and rolled them in powdered sugar for a dessert. Is this how corn fritters are made? Definitely not on the diet, but they were yummy.

I am NOT a cook at all, but I tried the corn dog batter recipe and now I will be using it for this years Super Bowl party. I used polish sausage instead of hot dogs and it was just as good. On another note, when I make them for the S.B. I will be using the hot dogs with cheese in them...mmmmm good. Thanks for the recipe ;~)

I've tried quite a few corn dog recipes many of them are too runny, this on is awesome. mmmmmm I'm still in corn dog heaven. the recipe is a little sweet but I enjoyed it none the less. coating the hot dog in flour first helps the batter go on more evenly, if your batter is a little runny like mine, I added too much milk. This is a great recipe. cheers.

Made mini-corndogs in my deep fryer with these. Came out very crispy. Everyone ate them. Next time I'll add a tad bit more sugar as the breading was not as sweet as the ones you get in the frozen food section, which is what my kids are used to. All-in-all, will definitely make again and saves a bundle on the frozen ones!

I am a mother of 6. (15, 13, 11, 7, 3, 2) The kids loved it! It was very quick and easy. I added some black pepper for a little more flavor and more sugar, m kids are use to corn dogs being sweeter. It was a huge hit with them. Thanks for the quick and easy recipe.

This was fantastic. I had leftover batter, so I cut some zucchini "fries" and dipped them, too. Yum! I did a double batch, and added a little extra sugar to the second one. I liked it both ways.

In order to add a 'lil flavor to this recipe... add a tsp of mustard powder to the mix... Adds good taste to it... ENJOY!!!

Try cutting a small rectangular wedge of pepperjack cheese, dip in the batter, fry, serve with ranch... Amazing snack or cocktail party treat.

 Harmonie (Utah) says:
I used soft whole wheat flour. We are trying not to use any enriched flour and no dairy. This recipe was delicious and super easy!!!! We fried, cheese, hot dogs, and vegies, super good.

I did somehow forget the egg the first time around, still super delicious, you don't really need the egg. But was good with the egg too.
