CHILI (FOR HAMBURGERS OR HOT
DOGS)
 
For Family:

2 lb. lean beef (ground) do not brown
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 c. tomato juice
2 tbsp. chili powder
Salt

For a Crowd:

5 lb. lean beef (ground) do not brown
1 (46 oz.) can tomato juice
1 box (1 1/4 oz.) chili powder
2/3 c. vinegar

Put all ingredients in pot and heat until warm to hand. Add ground beef and stir until it comes completely apart. Bring to a boil and cook slowly until it thickens (about 1 hour and 30 minutes).

Cook larger amount and freeze in family size containers. Looks and tastes like chili from the good old days.
