1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 c. shortening
1 c. quick oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans

Mix first 4 ingredients well. Stir in oatmeal. Add remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees until brown, about 10 minutes.
