I doubled this recipe and cannot get it to hold together. When I roll into log shape it crumbles. I added 3 eggs and more flour, it's a little better but will not hold a shape. The stuff in the bowl tastes yummy, I just wish I could cook them. If anyone has more ideas I'm open. I hate to toss 6 sticks of butter and 6 cups of pecans and flour.

Why not add some milk until it holds together. If it's too dry, add liquid, if it's too liquid, add some more flour. Just use a little at a time and you can't go wrong.

The amount of flour your dough needs varies with the humidity in the environment. You need to adjust to what you have.
