NUTMEG COOKIE LOGS 
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. rum extract
1 egg
3 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg

Combine sugar, butter, vanilla, extract, and egg. Beat until fluffy. Stir in flour and nutmeg. Chill 30-45 minutes for easier handling. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Divide dough in 6 pieces. On a floured surface, shape each piece into a long rope. Cut in 3 inch lengths. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and frost.

FROSTING:

2 c. powdered sugar
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. half and half
3/4 tsp. rum extract
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Combine all frosting ingredients and mix well. Spread on tops and sides of cookies. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.
