NUTMEG COOKIE LOGS 
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. rum extract
1 egg
3 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg

FROSTING:

2 c. confectioners' sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. rum extract
2-3 tbsp. half & half or milk
Nutmeg

Beat sugar, butter, vanilla, rum and egg until light and fluffy. Stir in flour and nutmeg; mix well. Cover and refrigerate 30-45 minutes. Divide dough into 6 pieces. On lightly floured surface shape dough into long rope, cut into 3 inch lengths. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

Frosting: Combine all ingredients except nutmeg. Blend until smooth. Spread on top and sides of cookies. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg. Store in tightly covered container - 4 1/2 to 5 dozen.
