CHICKPEA & PASTA SOUP 
1 tbsp. oil
1 med. onion
1 clove garlic
1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 can water
1 can beef consomme
1 can drained chickpeas
1 c. pasta (Tortellini)
1 can mixed vegetables
2 tbsp. basil
Pepper to taste, but no salt

Cook first three ingredients. Add tomatoes, consomme, water, chickpeas, pasta, vegetables, basil and pepper to taste. Simmer until pasta is done.
