MACAROON KISS COOKIES 
1/3 c. butter
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
2 tsp. orange juice
2 tsp. almond extract
1 1/4 c. unsifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
5 c. (14 oz.) flaked coconut
1 pkg. (about 54) Hershey kisses

Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk, orange juice and almond extract. Beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture until well blended. Stir in 3 cups coconut. Cover dough and chill about one hour. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in remaining coconut and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and press a kiss into center of each cookie. Allow to cool one minute. Carefully remove cookies and allow to cool until kiss is firm.

Makes about 54 cookies.
